Jacques Misrahi


Jacques Misrahi started the guitar in 1974-1975 in the Netherlands, then received a three-year training at the École Normale de Musique de Paris starting from 1979, before studying in Évreux with Arnaud Dumont. He then gave recitals in France, Italy, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands…

In 1995, he created the association L’Atelier Musical, a music school in Fontenay-sous-bois (Val-de-Marne) he ran until 2017. In 2003, he created in parallel the festival and guitar contest of Fontenay-sous-bois which awarded prizes to artists including Orestis Kalampalikis, Gabriel Bianco, Raphaël Feuillâtre or Yohan Foster, the latter two also won the first prize of the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) contest in 2018 and 2019.

After two concerts in 2006, Jacques Misrahi became Roland Dyens’ agent in France until 2016, the year of the demise of Roland Dyens. Jacques is currently a guitar teacher and the artistic director of the festival Guitare en Corrèze, the agent of Liat Cohen and the vice-president of the Roland Dyens in the Skaï association.
